Your mind and body have learned from experience and what they’ve learned can change.

Mind-body and nervous system coaching for deeply learned patterns of stress, protection, anxiety, and persistent symptoms.

INSIGHT CAN EXPLAIN A PATTERN, BUT IT DOESN’T ALWAYS CHANGE IT.

You may know you're safe and still feel anxious. Know you don't need to please everyone and still fear disappointing them. Know the pain or symptoms aren't dangerous and still find yourself monitoring your body. Know you need rest and discover that slowing down makes you feel worse instead of better.

That's because some patterns aren't simply thoughts or habits. They have been learned and reinforced across the brain, body, nervous system, relationships, and lived experience. My work brings those pieces together.

I help people change deeply learned patterns of stress and protection so they can experience more freedom in their body and life.

1:1 COACHING

Change what your mind and body have learned to expect.

1:1 mind-body and nervous system coaching is for people who have gained insight, tried the strategies, and are ready to work differently with patterns that continue to show up in their mind, body, relationships, or physical symptoms.

My approach brings together Somatic Experiencing, nervous system work, neuroplasticity, and my background in mental health to look at patterns from more than one direction.

THE COURSE

A deeper way to do this work on your own.

For those who want to begin exploring the mind-body connection outside of 1:1 coaching, my course provides a structured way to learn how the brain, body, and nervous system develop patterns - and how those patterns can begin to change.

REAL EXPERIENCES, REAL CHANGE

  • "I feel like I can live my life again without constantly thinking about how I feel."

“Before working with Tami I felt like I had tried everything. I had been to therapy before and I knew a lot about anxiety and coping skills, but knowing what I was supposed to do didn't really change what was happening in my body. Over time I started noticing that my body didn't scare me as much. I wasn't checking every feeling or immediately assuming something was wrong. I still have symptoms sometimes, but they don't take over everything like they used to.”

    RECENT CLIENT

  • "I'm getting better at asking myself what I actually want instead of immediately doing whatever will keep everyone else happy."

“I honestly thought I was pretty self-aware before I started working with Tami. I could tell you exactly why I did the things I did. I knew I was a people pleaser. I knew I took on too much. I knew I had a hard time saying no. I had talked about all of it before. I still care about people and I still have a tendency to take on too much, but I catch it so much sooner now.”

    RECENT CLIENT

  • "I don't spend nearly as much time analyzing everything or trying to control how I'm going to feel."

“I came to Tami because I was tired of talking about the same things and still reacting the same way. I knew all the coping skills. I knew my triggers. I knew where a lot of it came from. I just couldn't figure out why knowing all of that wasn't enough. I notice things now before they get so big. I'm doing things again that I had slowly stopped doing because I was afraid of how my body would react.

That probably sounds small but it doesn't feel small to me.”
